Chill: A Snowboarding Nonprofit

Recently I had the pleasure of spending some time with the Boston branch of a cool nonprofit, The Chill Foundation. Chill “uses snowboarding to teach life skills and increase self-esteem in undeserved youth.” The program runs for 6 weeks and with each week the kids not only learn to snowboard and spend time on the mountain, but discuss themes such as patience, persistence, courage, pride and more. I was thrilled to spend some time with such a fun and different organization and this is what I saw:

Winter at Last

Unlike most, I LOVE winter. I’ve been waiting for some good snow fall since Thanksgiving and I’m happy that it finally happened! Maybe I wouldn’t have asked for a “potentially historic and crippling” blizzard, but now that the worst is behind us, I hope we can all enjoy the snow in all it’s beauty!

Philly with a 50mm
